Long ago was Earth made uninhabitable by wars and pollution of all sorts. It was too late for Earth when people realized what they had done incorrectly for their planet. All the while a being only remembered in the archives of history had developed true, untethered artificial intelligence. His name was Kory, the individual's whereabouts unknown after he was taken from Earth with the assistance of his creation. Billions of years passed as humans looked for refuge as they wandered space, calling themselves the Rapax Coalition. Eventually coming to a new, Earth-like planet, humanity was quick to abandon thousands of massive crafts that had held it for so long. The human species flourished for many hundreds of years on a new planet they soon dubbed Ecros. Spelled backwards, it reads source with the meaning of signifying a new start. The source of a comeback. Industry boomed and with the rise of better technology on Ecros cities were constructed within decades instead of in generations. With billions of people how happy with such a fortunate new beginning life seemed like it couldn't get any better. Little did people know things could get much worse. Over a period of five hundred thousand years billions more were added to their population. Soon it was time to find another planet. It was decided that another colony would be formed and a planet just for farming would be located. More land would be free to keep undisturbed on their home planet while the other supplied food for a growing number of people. Massive electronic telescopes looked to the heavens and soon enough another miracle occured. Within the same year a colony had been put on the new planet and crops were established. Caelum had been found, named, and been settled on within ten months. Another miracle occured. Darwin was encountered not a decade later in another solar system. This planet had many things going for it. With nothing left for further expansion except for better education military training was established with small outposts littering the planet's surface. There was every environment imaginable so as long as things were managed properly any situation could be recreated. Strangely enough its atmosphere was like that of Earth's before Earth became a living hell just like Caelum. The same could be said for Ecros. Curiosity only lasted for so long and with no sign of outside tampering. Things did seem to grow even weirder. On these planets were wildlife that would have been found on Earth had it not been run down onto an unlivable ball of grime. Deer, panthers, bears, and etc. Keeping such strange events in the back of their minds humanity's leaders continued to press on as miracles continued to occur or so it appeared. Darwin soon boasted large cities as well with people favoring even wilder living, being close to the outdoors while still having modern technology. The spirit of pioneering and adventure left in the dust long ago had been reborn. Incredibly high standards of education were set on Darwin, already known for it stop military training after so long- and it soon became the top destination for students of all ages who pursued better careers. Technology continued to improve with the growing body of knowledge and environmental footprints on all of the planets were reduced phenomenally. Still. An observer from outside would see how quickly they were moving, how quickly they would soon be thirsting for more resources. It would only be a matter of time before the same thing to Earth happened all over again. At least, this is what a second party saw. For eons they had been watched as planets made to be natural were taken on whim with no caution. Human establishments were made at the snap of a finger and with caution. Their observer did not excuse their judgment. Later on many human ships massed, smooth and oval-shaped with thrusters in the back. Each ship carried hundreds of people. Already they were thinking and conversing with one another inside their ships about what the planet would be called. Not a thought was put into constructing fighters to guard ships during space-travel. As human crafts neared a paradise they had already gone to claim their own without putting much thought into what they were doing did warships appear. It seemed that they had blinked into existence. Hours passed as contact with the mothership suddenly came to a halt. An investigation was warranted. As soon as small one-man crafts came upon the frozen chunks of human flesh and twisted metal in space they raced back to their carrier, their mothership. Little did they know they had been followed. Reports were given over speakers from ship to ship before contact was lost. An enemy was out and about. That much was gathered. With incredible anger and alarm the humans chosen to go on the expedition to explore and settle this new world rushed back to tell their superiors. Without questions, without negotiation, as a whole, the human race attacked without knowing what had attacked them first. All they knew is that they had ships. In the end, it was discovered that they were robots, AI that had been encountered hacking their ships and boarding them as well. Guns blared to clear entire hallways of marines, strafing corridors of ships. Overall, what was most surprising is that other humans in heavy armor were seen behind their robotic comrades. It is fathomed to think Kory may have lured small masses of people with promises of better pastures per say. It seems from what had been observed that his ploys worked. No matter. The fight brewed on until neither side made advances. Pulling back, the attacking nation bent on revenge took a look back at what had happened. They had sustained heavy losses though their foes appeared to be unscathed for the most part. Sure damage was done but all they had were superior numbers. Robots continued to hold their ground with superior technology. Waging war behind their own front now, the Rapax Coalition struggled to free their ships of unwanted visitors. Their robotic foes had soldiers that looked almost like spiders with four red eyes at their fronts, two of their appendages being either energy swords or weapons of large caliber. Many ships were scuttled because of them, and sometimes their own vessels would turn to fire on their allies, it being assumed their bridges were breached. Anger swelled and brewed. Messages in monotone poured through to the Coalition letting them know there would be 'ferals' on their planet. This of course, infuriated the Rapax Coalition even more and within their populations it was decided that they would hurt their enemies as often as they could without mercy with everything new they could use. Carriers and battlecruisers were built, and soon a massive carrier was constructed to dwarf all others, a symbol of sorts to lead the fleet. It was called the Blair, a name of Scottish origin from long ago literally meaning battlefield. Antonius Evaric, the Coalition leader, hosted the ceremony to launch the ship. All sorts of guests attended, and soon after things began to fall into place and the ship was launched from its shipyard in space an uninvited guest winked into view. A strange ship appeared, easily recognizable as being a foe when its massive turrets turned to face the newly-built vessel. Not even minutes after it was unleashed the Blair would come under attack. Being five miles long and three miles wide, such a carrier could house many fighters. Hundreds, in fact. Its enemy was half its size though with nothing to defend their new ship the smaller vessel was like a wolf to a bison calf. With Antonius inside, their enemy quickly got in through unguarded hatches and such. It was then a massive spider-like form appeared in the docking bay where a banquet and meal were previously being held. With a few thousand guests inside, in uncloaked with silence. "My name, is Fisnik, and I am an opponent. I lead my forces, dubbed The Armored Legion. Your filth will never touch its diseased fingers of death and pollution on any of my worlds. You had also best find a new leader." The entire time Fisnik had been walking towards Antonius who was consumed in rage. Just before the human leader opened his mouth Fisnik uncloaked his weapons. Two energy swords quickly decapitated their president of the Coalition. By now there was a bad case of mass panic occuring that Fisnik was happy to end. With most of these guests being military leaders or political figures he was happy to flood their meeting place with mustard gas, and then top that off with nerve gas. It was a very efficient way of killing every single one of them. Just as quickly as he had come, Fisnik left without a trace. The Armored Legion's leader had come right under their noses to kill their president and leave unscathed. Later. word spread, and the Coalition quickly put a new program into full swing after recovering from such a loss of leadership. This program focused on stepping up weapons production as high as it would go, as well as training new troops for those weapons. As of today, Fisnik continues to hold the Coalition off with ease. Whether or not his forces are under strain is unknown. If they are, they are hiding it incredibly well. All the while, paranoia grows amongst the Coalition as attack after attack fails. Scouting units as well as larger forces aimed at finding out more about Fisnik's planets sometimes reach the surfaces of them. Heavy resistance is encountered, and most units that are intruding only last a matter of days before they are hunted down, captured, or killed. Never has Fisnik attempted to exterminate the entire opposing races that have joined the Coalition. All the while, more time is given to him for building a more massive fleet.
